I did read that section, but I was responding to something else that had nothing to do with whether or not you liked Close Encounters.

I don't know why, but I'm surprised to see you list Cuckoo's Nest so low. I would have pegged that as an oldkid favourite.

I saw a stage production and read the book before I saw the movie-- all in my high school and college years.  The film didn't really stand a chance to hold up to my love for my first two experiences.

I'm surprised at all the disdain for The Graduate.

I think this poll is locked. Can't tell for sure with the new format.

I'm surprised at all the disdain for The Graduate.

It's a really terrible film full of dead characters, but for some reason the film decides to punish the only character who actually wants to live, Mrs. Robinson. It's whole counter culture revolution theme is also badly, badly handled, and completely false.

Boy, I could argue the hell out of this and it might even be a good argument.  But the fact is, I've got the day off from work and I'm trying not to waste too much of it on the internet.  Another time, perhaps.

Is there any way to change my vote? I wasn't paying much attention the first time :P.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

I did the same, there should be a change vote button right underneath the poll.
