I wonder if the popularity of Labyrinth is symptomatic of Del Toro being something akin a one-hit wonder. It's rare to see a poll lean so decidedly in the direction of one particular movie.

Missing : Pacific Rim (but who cares really...oh right, I forgot what forum this was)

Hey, Hellboy II is still the best comic book adaptation ever made!

Just because Pan's Labyrinth is easily his best doesn't mean that the rest aren't pretty awesome, too. For example, Hellboy 2 is still the best comic book adaptation ever made!

I have not read that many of the comic books, but I would have to disagree. If you go by which movie most faithfully adapts a comic book story to the screen, along with the mood and and the format, the best adaptation is Watchmen. If you go by which comic book adaptation is the best movie, The Dark Knight would be your answer (I'm trying very very hard not to mention Avengers).
