Birdman Thought this was fun.
21 Grams Not sure it would hold up on rewatch, but really dug del Toro's performance.
The Revenant Some pretty shots, but bloated and has nothing to say.
Babel Crash: the international version. Kikuchi is great. Hated everything else.

It's fantastic. https://thedissolve.com/reviews/1152-birdman/

I'm just now seeing this. I balked only here: "...Michael Keaton, who’s old but unbowed 25 years after Batman made him a celebrity..."

I reread the piece. I agree with some of it but I still had fun with the movie. I would have to rewatch it.

Biutiful
★ ★ ½
I can see a future poll and best male lead performance in an Iñárritu film, and while Michael Keaton is close, I'm probably going to give it to Javier Bardem. One step further, this is possibly Bardem's best performance. The film is long and sad and would be pretty easy to cut down, just strip away the sub-plots that only barely involve Bardem. Do that and I would probably want to own this. As is, it's typical Iñárritu elevated by an exceptional performance.
