Don't the 2000s kick the 1990s backside? There are only a handful of monumental films in the whole decade (Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs, Toy Story, The Matrix (help me out here). I would go with 1992 but for the reason that these were some of the best films of big directors- Tarantino, Altman, Eastwood, Mann. Oh and Wayne's World- w00t!
